The new Allam Medical Building, the stunning centrepiece of our new Health Campus, opened its doors to its first lucky staff in June with students due to join them in October 2017.
The Health Campus was given a huge boost recently when a mammoth £4.9 million was granted by Yorkshire Cancer Research for crucial research at the University by Hull York Medical School. We were also delighted to receive more than £250,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation towards the Neonatal and Paediatric part of the Clinical Skills Suite in the Allam Medical Building. This follows an earlier donation of £500,000 from the Wolfson Foundation to support our palliative care research centre. Our thanks to all of our donors.
The names of all donors to the Health Campus will be listed on a donor wall in the new facility in time for the official opening in autumn 2017. If you are a donor to the Health Campus you should have received a letter or email from us asking you to confirm whether or not you wish your name to be included. If you haven’t replied yet, please do let us know as soon as possible. If you haven’t heard from us then please contact n.j.wright@hull.ac.uk. We would really like to recognise the generosity of as many of you as possible.
